FAQ - BeeON Network

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BeeON Network

Is BeeON safe for my computer? +
BeeON runs inside a protected browser sandbox. That means it never installs software on your machine, never touches your personal files, and never gets system-level access.

We also cap how much load we request from your CPU so your device stays cool, quiet, and usable.

You're always in full control — you can stop contributing at any time with a single click.
How much can I really earn? +
Right now, BeeON is in pre-launch testing.

The dashboard shows simulated earning potential based on your CPU cores and idle hours — for example, typical estimates range around $20–$60/month for average hardware, and over $100/month for high-performance systems.

These values are projections, not guarantees.

Reward payouts for contributors will launch in the next phase, and early supporters will get better rates through our Kickstarter program.
What about electricity costs? +
Because BeeON only uses a portion of your CPU and prefers idle time, the extra power draw is limited.

You'll be able to see estimated consumption and estimated reward side-by-side in the dashboard so you understand whether participation makes sense for you.

Part of our mission is efficiency: we'd rather tap into existing hardware than force the world to build more data centers.
When and how do I get paid? +
Payouts are not live yet.

During the beta, you can see your estimated contribution and projected earnings in real time.

When payouts launch, contributors will be able to withdraw once they cross a minimum threshold.

Kickstarter backers and early adopters will receive priority access to the first payout program and premium reward rates.
What is my PC actually computing? +
In the current beta, BeeON runs safe test workloads like calculating digits of π and machine-learning style demo tasks.

The production version will focus on ethical, real-world compute: AI research, scientific simulations, climate models, and data processing for startups.

We will never allow crypto mining, military targeting, surveillance abuse, or anything harmful. The community has a say in which projects BeeON supports.
Can I use my PC while BeeON is running? +
Yes.

BeeON is designed to run when you're not actively using your machine.

If you start playing a game, editing video, or doing normal work, BeeON backs off.

We target up to ~50% CPU usage in idle windows so your system stays responsive — you should still feel like the computer is "yours," not "ours."
Is my data and privacy protected? +
Yes.

BeeON doesn't read, store, or upload your personal files.

All tasks run inside an isolated sandbox in your browser.

Traffic between you and the network is encrypted.

We follow EU privacy principles (GDPR-style) and we will publish a clear Privacy Policy and Terms of Service so you know exactly what data is collected and why.

Your identity and device data are never sold.
How does BeeON prevent malware or abuse? +
All computation that runs on the network is approved.

Tasks are vetted, signed, and monitored before they're allowed onto the grid.

If anything looks suspicious, it's rejected or immediately stopped.

On top of that, everything runs in isolation — so even in the worst case, your personal system remains untouched.

Security and trust are core to BeeON, not an afterthought.
What are the system requirements? +
BeeON is intentionally lightweight.

Because the beta runs in-browser, most modern laptops and desktops can participate with no install.

For best simulated results we recommend:
• Multi-core CPU (4+ cores)
• At least 8 GB RAM
• A stable internet connection

Mobile and tablet support is in early testing — yes, even phones can help.
Can I stop BeeON anytime? +
Immediately.

You are never locked in.

Click "Stop" and your device disconnects from the network instantly.

You decide when to contribute, and you decide when to walk away.

This network is built to be owned by people, not to trap them.
How does global load distribution work? +
BeeON is designed to follow the planet's rhythm.

When it's nighttime in one region, idle devices there can contribute.

When that region wakes up and starts using their computers again, the load shifts somewhere else.

This makes the network more energy-efficient and avoids pushing any one machine 24/7.
Is BeeON environmentally sustainable? +
That's the point.

Instead of building more massive, power-hungry data centers, BeeON uses what already exists — idle computers in homes and offices.

We cap CPU usage, we discourage waste, and we aim to reduce the total carbon cost of computing.

Your hardware becomes part of a shared supercomputer — without building a new building.
What makes BeeON different? +
BeeON is not just another "rent your PC" scheme.

We're building:
• A decentralized compute layer owned by the community
• Ethical rules on what gets computed
• Instant opt-out control for every user
• Transparent economics where contributors can see how power is used

Our long-term goal is simple:
No single company should control the world's computing power.
How can I join early / support the launch? +
Right now you can do two things:

1. Test your device's performance at app.beeon.network and see how it would contribute.

2. Join our Kickstarter and become an early supporter. Early backers get priority access, better earnings multipliers, and a voice in how the network evolves.
Who decides what BeeON will be used for? +
The community.

BeeON is openly committed to ethical computing.

We will hold public votes on which categories of work are allowed, and which are off-limits.

We say no to crypto mining, no to military targeting, and no to abusive surveillance.

Your hardware should help build a future you actually believe in.
